About Amy
Meet Amy. She is a brilliant Home Care Assistant of ours and we enjoyed spending some time speaking with her. She told us why she decided to move her career to home care and the pleasure she takes from her role now.
Home care was not originally what Amy intended to focus her career upon. She in fact trained to work with children and even took a diploma in childcare and education. It wasn’t until Amy saw the job advertised for a Home Care Assistant that she thought it may be something she’d like to do.
She knew she wanted to make a difference in peoples lives. Amy told us that since starting her position with The Great Care Company she ‘couldn’t be happier’.

Training and Support
Amy spoke to us about her role, the ways she’s able to help others and they ways we’re able to help her. We’re keen to help all of our team progress within their current roles and careers. Amy told us how this has been important to her since she joined the team. Saying that she has been opened up to

Amy continued ‘if there’s a problem then everyone is so quick to help sort it out, it doesn’t matter how big or how small it is, you know you have somebody to turn to help sort it out’.
How Amy Helps Others
It is clear from Amy’s passion how much she loves helping others. We’re lucky to have people like her in our team, proven by the fantastic feedback we receive from our clients.
She told us
'it’s always nice after helping somebody because you know you’ve made a difference in their life. Whether it be helping to walk someone dogs, supporting with personal care or simply making someone a brew there are so many ways in each day that Amy makes a difference.

Amy’s Advice
Amy is a dedicated Home Care Assistant and would encourage anybody who is looking to make a difference in people lives to give home care a chance. There aren’t many other opportunities that can bring you the same sense of achievement from your day to day duties.
Like Amy says,
you might be the only person our client sees that day, or even that week and the appreciation that you feel from that is second to none. It’s an important role and Amy is brilliant at it.
