About Natasha
Natasha is one of our fantastic home care assistants in the heart of Lincolnshire. We took some time to speak with Natasha to see what she thinks about the company and the role she plays within the team.
Like many inspiring stories, Natasha chose to become a carer in 2013 when she lost a member of her family. This sparked a realisation that she wanted to care for people and have an impact in the lives of those who require support.
Rewards of working In Home Care
“I find it really rewarding that I have made a difference to a persons life that day, making a difference for people, being unselfish and caring for somebody else is what it truly means to me.”
“When I deliver care to Sylvia it means a lot to me knowing that I am getting someone out of bed in the morning, to choose their clothes, to make their breakfast, because if I didn’t come in, they may not even get dressed that day. Just being able to make that difference and when she laughs that to me is my job, making someone laugh and seeing a smile on someone’s face.
From when we come through the door in the morning, no matter if she is upset or not within that 60 minutes, by the time we leave in the hour, she will be laughing.
It matters to Sylvia what she puts on that day as it would matter to me, so I treat Sylvia as I would treat my own. “
What Is Your Favourite Part Of The Working Day?
“My favourite part of my working day is when someone holds their hands out, you hold out yours and they say thank you dear. That to me is the favourite part of my day.”
What Are The Benefits Of Being One Of Our Home Care Assistants?
“The benefit of working for The Great Care Company is as a company they are approachable.
They do care, they care about their employee’s, they care about their clients and you get consistency which means you can build up a relationship with your clients and a relationship with the bosses. It’s not just like working for an agency. I know what I am doing from week to week.
When they say The Great Care Company, they mean The Great Care Company because the bosses care and we care.”
