After continued support to our friendly faced client, Jenyfer, we recently wished her farewell as she moved onto her next chapter near the West coast to be closer to her sons.
Jenyfer conquered her blindness with the support of our home care assistants who would visit daily to help get her lunch or run the little errands that she was unable to do alone.
Our Time With Jenyfer
Before her big move, we visited Jenyfer with her regular carers and Care Manager to say goodbye and gift her two Saintpaulia African Violets. These plants are enduring symbols of friendship and faithfulness, an appropriate message to a client cherished by all of our team and we hope they will help her to remember us the way we will fondly remember her.
When we asked Jenyfer what was the most positive thing she had experienced with homecare she told us it was
“companionship, you talk to someone else and you go into another world from your own”.
Jenyfer continued to tell us how important this was to her and should be to others as when you push yourself to listen to something else you forget your worries.
