The internet can be an important tool and helping the elderly keep up to date with the modern world could be a great way to help promote their independence.

Not just for ‘keeping up with the youngsters’, the internet can be used for staying in touch with family and friends from all across the globe, reminiscing over photos from younger days and ordering groceries.

Sit down with them and let them have a go.
Find out what interests them, and use this to your advantage.
Help them overcome their fears.
