Live In Care Service
Lincolnshire & Yorkshire
Live-In Care allows people in need of support to remain in the familiar surroundings of their own home with full-time carers who live with them. It requires carers with a huge amount of understanding and dedication to become an essential part of the family and provide the assistance needed for extended periods of time.
This isn’t simply a case of providing help when required: Great home care providers should look for community involvement and companionship to ensure the happiness and wellbeing of those under their care.
This is exactly what we do.
We pride ourselves on creating a tailored, personalised, affordable, home care service for every person that we support for as long as they need us. Providing Carers that truly care and assisting clients who feel safe, secure and loved.
Question: What Is Live In Care?
Live-In Care allows people who need round-the-clock care and support, to remain independent in their own homes. It comes with the peace of mind that someone is always on hand if they are needed.
This requires a full-time, in-house care assistant providing medical care, personal care, and dietary care. In-home carers are an excellent alternative to going into a care home; giving one-to-one support and companionship, with a much higher standard of care than that of even the best care homes.
When someone (who may be of older age or with health conditions) moves into the unfamiliar surroundings of a care home, their physical and mental health can deteriorate. It is far more preferable to have a full-time carer living with the person, allowing family and friends to continue to support their loved one, and maintaining that person’s part in their local community.
The Difference Live-In Care Versus
Care Homes
The companionship that an older person, a person with an ongoing condition or a person with a disability receives from a live-in carer is of a much higher standard than that provided by a care home.
Some care homes put a lot of effort into creating a social environment, however, they also place restrictions on a person's independence. Whereas, with Live-In Care, your loved ones have a constant companion, day and night, allowing security, freedom, days out and even holidays.
Relationships with family and friends can be maintained through Live-In Care because people are much more likely to visit a loved one in their own home, rather than visiting a care home, which may have restrictive hours or procedures for visitation.
A full-time carer, living in your home, can improve the wellbeing of your loved ones, providing the support required and giving family members the opportunity to go out and live their own life. It can be a very difficult decision for relatives to put a loved one in a care home, whereas a full-time carer is the best of both worlds, allowing a welcome break for a family but keeping the person in need of help within a safe, familiar environment without restrictions on how they live their life.
Support Who Can Be Benefit From Live In Care?
We provide full-time, in-home support for persons of all ages, all abilities and all short or long-term conditions.
Live-In Care is suitable for:
If you or a loved one has a specific condition then your support will be provided by Home Care Assistants who are specifically trained to help people like you.
As standard, The Great Care Company offers unlimited shadowing at our own expense: Shadowing is when we place another team member with you and your home care assistant so that they can learn exactly how to support you. This provides an extra duty of care, another familiar face and backup should the regular care assistant become ill.
We understand that carers should be familiar with the people in their care and new faces can provide disruption. The health and wellbeing of anyone in our care will always come first.
