A research group from the United Arab Emirates identified a link between time spent outside and improved mood. Apparently, it is the increased production of Vitamin D, but the smell of fresh air just can’t be beaten.
Think Happy Thoughts!
Fake it ’til you make it… If you listen to “happy” music or watch a cheerful film, you should have a better mood afterwards (according to the Journal of Positive Psychology)!

Depriving yourself of sleep is linked to problems in both mood and relationships and the American Psychological Association reported that one can build up “sleep-debt” from long periods of long nights.
Dabble in Social/Charity Work!
Giving back to society feels good. Small things, such as donating to charity, as well as large commitments to volunteering your time increase life satisfaction and decrease levels of depression.
Get a New Hobby!
As well as being mentally stimulating – and hopefully enjoyable – a new skill can give you the feeling of accomplishment and self-confidence!
