A risk assessment is an important step in protecting your workers and being compliant with the law. It helps identify hazards with the potential to cause harm.
Risk assessments arm you with the knowledge of how to stay safe in your work, and how to stay protected. They will not eliminate all risks but identify the ones most imminent. We here at The Great Care Company, take the importance of risk assessments very seriously as we want to ensure that both our staff and clients safety is put first. If the precautions are taken to prevent any risks occurring in the workplace, both yourself and our staff will be safe.
Such risk assessments may include:
Alcohol
Health & Safety
Moving and Handling
Dementia / Parkinson’s / Alzheimer’s
Diabetes
Medication
Nutrition and Diet
Pressure Relief
Lone Worker
Risk assessments are created by The Great Care Company and we make sure that each of our clients has the correct risks assessed. Not all clients will need a diabetes risk assessment or dementia and not all clients’ risks will be the same so we carry out individual assessments before we start providing care.
Other risks assessments may be put into place too such as pregnancy and PPE risk assessments. The importance of risk assessments is really aimed at preventing illnesses and accidents for staff and to provide a safe workplace in which all risks are identified.
