Best Wishes to John
We recently said thank you and goodbye to one of our valued clients, John. As we all said our goodbyes and all the best in the future to John, one of The Great Care Company's valued clients, it was our pleasure to use our 'Extra Mile Scheme' as a leaving present. Our home care assistant, Dania, took John on a special day out as a token of appreciation for his faith in our service.
The Extra Mile Scheme is all about going above and beyond for all of our service users, whether it is rewarding hard work or giving back something special. We want all of those associated with us here at The Great Care Company to feel appreciated. We are happy that John was able to enjoy this extra moment before his departure.
The Extra Mile scheme in more detail
The Extra Mile Scheme is an award-nominated initiative. This makes all the difference as it provides our home care team with the opportunity to go above and beyond when it comes to supporting our clients, our staff and our local community. Alongside offering free care and support for clients, these extra hours can also be used for all kinds of wonderful things. Such as acts of kindness, charity initiatives and developing our team's knowledge further in health and social care.
Moreover, this amazing scheme was key throughout the pandemic too. Offering delivery of groceries, and medication collection, among other invaluable services to individuals who needed them the most. And it doesn't stop there; as we're committed to developing the scheme so more people can receive its benefits.
To date, we are pleased to announce that our team has delivered over
- Over 1100 hours of Free Care
- Over 110 hours of Free Medication and Shopping Support
- Over 900 hours of Free Social support to help our clients with Social Isolation
Diana’s and Johns Day Out
Diana shared with us all the wonderful things she and John did on their day out.
“We had a lovely day! So let me talk you through what we did to give an example of the things you can also do with the company on a day out. We first started the day going to a few shops to have a good look around so we went to Asda and also Waitrose and we got a few bits.
After this, we got back to the car and John wanted to go into town as we had loads of time left! We drove into town and we got parked. I got the wheelchair together and then off we went into town and had a look in all sorts of shops, all while wishing all the best for each other in our future endeavours. John found an odd shop he wanted to have a look at called war hammer so naturally, off we went in there too, all while laughing together at some of the models on sale!"
“After all the fun we had painting the models, we both decided to take some of the figures home with us and spread the creativity even further. We went off for some dinner at a nearby Vietnamese restaurant where we indulged in all of their delicious dishes. Once all full and happy, we went back to the house to unpack all the items we bought, before heading out for a game of pool and a coke at the local pub. Although I'm all too aware that I lost the game against John!
All in all, it was a great day that left us with some wonderful memories. Here's wishing John all the best in the future!"
All the Best in the Future
We all said our fond farewell to John hoping for all the best for him in the future. His kind words of appreciation warmed all our hearts and we all agreed that it was a real privilege to have a client who never failed to spread good vibes all around. We want to take this opportunity to wish John all the luck, happiness, and success in all his future endeavours and thank him for the good memories he shared with us. Here's sending all the best in the future your way, John!
