You may leave the hospital feeling you could benefit from someone supporting you with a range of tasks until you can recover and support yourself. If you are based in Lincolnshire or Yorkshire, we can provide private carers who will visit your home and give you assistance for as long as you need them.
Rehabilitation Carers For as Long You Need Them
Most people recover faster in a familiar and reassuring environment. All of our Care Assistants are fully vetted and trained. In addition, we strengthen their knowledge with ongoing learning to ensure they provide the best support possible.
Our in-house training involves First Aid Awareness and Infection Control, as well as Parkinson’s Care, End of Life Care, Autism Care, Alcohol Awareness Care, MS Care, Dementia Care and much more. If you have a specialised requirement, we will train our staff to accommodate. This may include the use of specific equipment or rare medical conditions.
What Is Rehabilitation Care?
It can take time to recuperate and you or your loved ones may require some assistance whilst you adapt to new circumstances or fully recover. Rehabilitation is primarily about restoring you to your maximum capability, physically, mentally and socially.
If necessary, a number of carers could be working together with you and your family to help you recover. The team may extend from ongoing NHS support including nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists as well as our everyday Care Assistants.
Our care combined with their medical expertise will promote your recovery, and maximise your independence, dignity and respect.
Rehab Care At Home Vs Hospitals Or Care Homes
Private rehabilitation care at home will often make the most sense and prove the most cost-effective option. You can keep all the benefits of being at home and comfortable with help on hand when you need it the most.
Or carers are ready to come and provide assistance, so you can focus on recovery and getting well. We work alongside the NHS to help you heal. Our staff work on a one-to-one patient-to-carer basis. This ensures a familiar face rather than changing shifts as you’d see in a rehabilitation care home.
We also match our staff to those in our care to ensure that your rehabilitation is a smooth and enjoyable as possible. We know that personality and having something to talk about can go a long way.
All of our care staff are fully vetted, trained and wherever necessary, trained to aid with special requirements such as NHS equipment that may be required to aid your recovery.
Our company provides the best care possible for as long as required.

What Are The Costs Of Rehabilitation Home Care?
Depending on your condition upon discharge from the hospital, you may be offered “intermediate care” or “reablement care” by the NHS. This short rehabilitation program usually lasts for no longer than six weeks and the hospital provides us with all your details so that The Great Care Company can work hard to ensure that you receive the support you need.
If the individual’s condition requires specific treatment (such as speech therapy or physiotherapy following a stroke), this can continue on an outpatient basis for longer periods. If ongoing care is still required at the end of the six-week period, funding from social services may be available. Wherever possible, we’ll assist you and put your health and wellbeing as our absolute priority.
